Re-Wiring Our Minds For Success In The New Digital Economy:
In this talk futurist Bill Bishop will explain why “old factory thinking” is obsolete. He will then outline the five-stage “new factory thinking approach”. According Bishop, “If we want to provide prosperity for ourselves and our children, we need to re-wire our minds for the realities of the 21st Century. If we do that, virtually unlimited opportunities for success are possible. If we don’t do that, our prospects will be much more limited.”
As Bishop points out, “the marketplace has changed on a fundamental level, so a completely new way of thinking is required. We need to replace linear thinking with spatial thinking. We need to stop building businesses that resemble assembly lines and start building value hubs. And instead of selling our products and services, we need to sell BIG Ideas instead.
